Today due to a much higher demand for creative commercial architecture, we have developed a commercial division comprised of an unmatched team of highly experienced Certified Professional Building Designers & Architects who specialize in a broad range of commercial projects. This addition has allowed each of the residential and commercial divisions to focus on the uniqueness of the field in which they specialize.

Design Firm Accreditation 

The CPBD certification program is the oldest and most prestigious credentialing program for design professionals of one/two-family dwellings, townhouses, and light commercial buildings within the United States. The NCBDC Accreditation Program certifies the competency of professional building designers in ethics, procedures, architectural styling, structural engineering and construction principles, processes, materials, and methods assures consumers and other industry professionals that the person has met the critical requirements of a Certified Professional Building Designer. CPBD examinations are 3 hour online proctored test developed and maintained to the ISO 17024 standard and include a continuous review by the governing professional body.

 

NCBDC’s primary purpose is to certify professional level building designers. The basic credential is called the Certified Professional Building Designer (CPBD) and is a prerequisite for many AIBD positions and programs. All CPBDs must earn 8.0 continuing education units (credits) each year in order to recertify and to continue using the NCBDC certification mark and CPBD designation.
